As a rule, hotels in Russia do not provide on-line reservation and do not accept credit cards. All local payments must be in rubles (Russian currency). The current rate is
100 rubles = 3.23 US dollars = 2.64 Euro (as for 26.05.2010).
Almost everywhere you may exchange US dollars and Euro. Other foreign currencies may only be exchanged in large banks in the city.
